Youth Nights Come enjoy fellowship, food and FUN in the gym from 6:00-7:30pm on Sunday nights!! Hang out with Fr. John and other young adults from the parish and get re-charged for your week!!. January 24, 31 February 14, 21 March 7, 28 April 11, 18, 25 May 2, 9
February 7: Superbowl Extravaganza!! Come try Jen’s famous cheese dip and watch the Superbowl game (or just the commercials!!). Drop-off: 6:00pm; pick-up: 10:30pm. Location TBA, so watch the website.
30 HOUR FAMINE: March 5-6 Over 13,000 kids under the age of 5 will die today from causes related to hunger. That’s one child every seven seconds. But here’s the good news. It doesn’t have to be this way. Join the St. John community in making a difference in these kids’ lives. Raise money for 2 months and live in solidarity with those in hunger for a life-changing 30 hours, as we fast together as a community of believers. Info Meeting will take place the last 30 minutes of Youth Night (7-7:30pm in the St. John Gym) on January 10th.
April 4: Resurrection Party!! Come celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord in style in the St. John gymnasium, with some live praise and worship music, a DJ, dancing, drinks, and food for all!! Note: do your homework BEFORE you come!! Drop off: 6:00pm; pick-up 9:00pm. |

Wild Wednesdays Join us from 2:00-4:00pm at 200 W 13th Street for food, fun, fellowship and service projects!!
...the elderly: Visit Brandon Woods each month to play Bingo or do craft projects. Meet in St. John School Parking Lot to carpool. Dates: 2/9, 3/9, 4/13, 5/11 Drop-off: 6:00pm, Pick-up: 7:30pm
...the unborn: Help Birthright by sorting clothes, doing chalking runs on campus, and preparing mailings/fundraisers. Meet at Birthright (204 W 13th Street). Dates: 2/23, 4/27 Drop-off: 6:00pm; Pick-up: 7:30pm
...the poor: Help prepare a meal for Family Promise, a program for homeless families. Meet in the St. John School cafeteria (under the Church). Dates: 3/23 Drop-off: 6:00pm; Pick-up: 7:30pm
Bocce Ball Tournament Sunday, February 21; 3:00-5:00pm Upstairs @ JO Schmo’s!! Soda and appetizers provided; bring $5 to offset costs!!
Photo Scavenger Hunt Sunday, April 17; 3:00-5:30pm Around town!!Meet in St. John School Parking Lot to get teamed up and begin the hunt. Games/pizza in gym afterwards!!
Jr. High Youth Rally Come join kids from all over our archdiocese for a day of fun & spiritual growth. The day includes Mass with Archbishop Naumann, keynotes from APEX ministries , music by the Mikey Needleman Band , and much more! It is going to be incredible. When: Sun. Feb. 28 from 8am-5pm (Mass with the Archbishop is included) Where: Prairie Star Ranch in Williamsburg, KS Why: To unite hundreds of middle school youth in their Catholic faith |
